RDA to Hold Academic Conference on 'Convergence of Agriculture and Food Industry' on the 21st

The Rural Development Administration (RDA), led by Administrator Cho Jae-ho, will hold an academic conference on the 21st at the Korea Science and Technology Center in Seoul under the theme

"Convergence of Agriculture and Food Industry: Data - Raw Materials and Materialization."

The conference will feature a keynote address by Kim Jin-sook, Director of the Functional Food Division at the RDA's National Institute of Agricultural Sciences, on the topic of "RDA's R&D Direction for Supporting the Food Tech Industry."

Presentations will include:

• "Purpose-Oriented Useful Components and Metabolites, from Production Agriculture to Materialization" by Seo Woo-deok, a researcher at the Crop Foundation Division of the National Institute of Crop Science.

• "A Treasure Trove of Infinite Possibilities, Insect Resources" by Byun Young-woong, Director of the Insect and Sericulture Industry Division at the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences.

• "Precision Food and Nutrition, Personalized Healthcare Starts with Data" by Lee Don-gu, CEO of Medisolla.

Following the presentations, a panel discussion on strengthening the link between agriculture and food tech will feature Kim Cheol-beom, CEO of Deep.Plant; Professor Kim Jin-jin of Korea National University of Agriculture and Fisheries; and Ryu Jeong-gi, a director at the Gyeongsangbuk-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services.
