Deep Plant (CEO Kim Cheol-beom) and S&E Company (CEO Jang Se-hoon) announced on the 31st that they recently signed a business agreement for the 'vitalization of mutually beneficial and fair trade between livestock producers and consumers.'
The two parties plan to cooperate to supply consumers with low-grade cuts of Hanwoo (Korean beef) that have low fat content (marbling) and non-preferred cuts of Handon (Korean pork), such as hind leg meat. The companies will focus on △linking products and services, △activities to improve the perception of 'ugly' (low-grade and non-preferred) livestock products, and △discovering ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) collaborative models for creating social value.
Deep Plant CEO Kim Cheol-beom said, "We will take the lead in enhancing the added value of agricultural and livestock products based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology."
S&E Company CEO Jang Se-hoon said, "We will strive to improve the perception of 'ugly' livestock products and spread value-based consumption."
Deep Plant and S&E Company are both members of the 9th Guro batch of the "IBK Changgong (創工)," a startup incubation program by the Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK).
